Steph on Saturdays: Operating Hours

This is the first in a series of posts where our founder, Steph Hartford, shares her

personal thoughts on everything ranging from grantwriting to sports to knitting and back again. Enjoy!

Ahhhhh. Saturday. A day to relax, do laundry, and just chill. Right?

Well, not for everyone.

Ideally, those of us in the United States should be working a 32-hour week. Studies have shown this leads to happier and healthier employees. (And do not get me started about the lack of paid family leave in this

country–I wrote my senior thesis on this in 2005 and here we are almost 20 years later with no damn paid leave.)

But for now, Superheroine Solutions will be open for business on Saturdays.

Why?

Because life doesn’t just happen in the neat little boxes that a Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm

calendar provides. Sometimes for an individual, nonprofit, or
corporation, inspiration strikes in the middle of the night and you gotta start changing things RIGHT THAT DANG MINUTE before the spark fades.

So if you find yourself wanting a change–maybe your soccer team needs a new coach, your nonprofit needs a grant written, or your archival institution has a backlog that would scare a cave troll, drop us a line.

We’ll be here (almost) all week.
